Zimbabwe ART4All Collaborative
09.11.2017
The Ministry of Health and Child Care and HEALTHQUAL, with additional technical support from URC-ASSIST, successfully launched the ART4All Collaborative to accelerate "Treat All" for PLHIV in Zimbabwe.  In Harare, 26 teams from the City of Harare, Chitungwiza and Epworth District in Mashonaland East convened to initiate this innovative collaborative that addresses a new model of treatment implementation to reach the 90-90-90 goals.

Beyond the typical improvement components in an initial learning session, this event included a panel focusing on same-day treatment initiation featuring Clinic Referral Facilitators, whose role includes counseling, referral to treatment initiators and navigation. The Collaborative includes active participation from consumers and representatives from consumer organizations. This improvement collaborative is focusing on both newly diagnosed and pre-ART patients and is expected to run through June 2018.

Interesting article here. Treat all policy sounds to be on track at least in SADC countries. When the article say the collaborative is expected to run in Zimbabwe through June 2018 does it imply that it is a try run to be evaluated or the country now just treat all from now on

Thanks, I would like to see more detail on lesson learnt for this quality improvement project. Any data to show?

I am excited to see the 90-90-90 UNAIDS "ambitious" strategy is implemented across the globe, I believe we shall reduce the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in SSA through adapting treatment as prevention in our policies.
